I was just reading my 1943-52 Blyton Bibliography to identify a Noddys House of Books i have just bought, but am confused as to edition.
Book states the 1st has no Blyton sig on the front and lettering is block red. 2nd edition has multi coloured lettering and the Blyton Sig.
Books that are 1sts are just Sampson Low and 2nd /later ones have Sampson Low and C A Publications.
Mine has The Blyton Sig but also has block red lettering.
My Books just have Sampson Low.
So is my set a 1st or 2nd or is it somewhere inbetween? lol
thx

House of Books
It sounds as if the little books are all the same as the 1st edition ones (and probably are 1st editions), but the box was reprinted to put the signature on. I am just guessing, but the missing signature on the 1st edition box may have been an error, which they put right when they ran out of boxes - at least it sounds as if the books are okay.
