I'm trying to purchase The Enchanted Wood in hardback with the original cover on it (as shown here: http://www.enidblytonsociety.co.uk/book ... anted+Wood" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).
I'm not interested in it being a first edition but I do like this cover. How much are these worth? It's very hard to find one and I don't want to pay a lot of money if possible.
Sorry if this is in the wrong area. It's not really a story search, but this seemed the most relevant area.
How much would you expect to pay?
Re: How much would you expect to pay?
Before I had a quick shuftie about I thought probably around 75 quid. Then I had a look around & revised my estimate upwards....Kariana wrote:I'm trying to purchase The Enchanted Wood in hardback with the original cover on it (as shown here: http://www.enidblytonsociety.co.uk/book ... anted+Wood" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

Of course, you *may* get lucky in a second-hand bookshop, or maybe even a charity shop, but I suspect the abe & ebay methods will cost dear (tho OTOH I've got lucky with the odd book via ebay)..

Re: How much would you expect to pay?
These may or may not be helpful, but after a bit of searching I found these sites which are selling old copies of 'The Enchanted Wood' with dust covers-:

Thank you. Looks like I'll have to pay quite a bit if I wasnt one of these. Good to have some examples though, thank you.

Apart from the obvious second-hand bookshops & charity shops trawling - set a search up on ebay - you never know when you'll get lucky!
