Story new baby - cover with rosebuds

I'm trying to find a short story about a child whose father is embroidering a rosebud cover. A new baby appears in the cot the next day! Can anyone identify the story / book it is in?

Sounds cute. The only short story I know of with a new baby is in The Tales of Betsy May, but I don't recall anything about a cover, just a draw full of vests and a frilly crib.
