Looking for identification of a picture-filled EB book

Post by Ben Goudie »

Good morning. I read an Enid Blyton book a very long time ago, and am now trying to work out which it was (or even, if I'm right in recalling that it was by her). It was rather different to her usual style, being filled with monochrome illustrations, with very little text on each page. In my mind, at least, it was a Magic Faraway Tree book (but, as I say, one for an uncharacteristically young age-group), or a similar format about many different lands. One of the main characters unexpectedly transformed into a black cat (or something along those lines), an image which has lodged in my mind.

Many thanks for any response.

You may be thinking of "Up the Faraway Tree" Ben. If you go to the Cave of Books or click on the Faraway Tree panel on the Home Page, you will find a review of it.
