Help Please: Short Story Title

Hello. I would like some help with the title of a short story before I source a book from overseas. I'm thinking the title is either "Clever Mr Trusty' or 'The Magic Sweetshop'. All I remember is that a shop owner is trying to decide what child to employ in his (i think) sweet shop. He 'hides' a coin and leaves the room and sees what child owns up to finding the money. Thank you. :D

Welcome, Susan. You're right that the story you're looking for is 'Clever Mr. Trusty,' which is to be found in The Magic Mirror and Other Stories, Award 1998. That story was first printed in 1950 in The Enid Blyton Pennant Readers No. 7, under the title 'Mr. Trusty's Pennies.' The other story you mention, 'The Magic Sweetshop,' is about two children who buy some magic sweets from a shop run by a brownie or pixie.
