Hi, i wonder if anyone can help. We have an enquiry from someone who has been searching for a book for over 40 years. Her description is:
It’s a Blyton book about Pixies Bing and Bong (I think that’s what she said). They’re always trying to be polite (‘after, you,’, ‘no after you’.) etc. She thinks it may be a compilation.
Any help appreciated.
Kind Regards
Sonia

If you go to the Society's CAVE OF BOOKS and type in Bing Bong, you will find a number of entries, Sonia. I hope this will help you to find the book you are looking for.

Re: Bing and Bong (Pixie)
There is a story called (I think) I was here first. It featured in The Purnell Sunshine Library's Bedtime Stories. I think the pair in it were called Bing and Bong. They weren't polite though, they met at a stile and each got on in such a way that neither could completely get over it and, as neither would back down, they had to sit there all day insulting each other till the farmer came along and boxed their ears.

That's your answer Sonia, well done Lucky Star. The story 'I Was Here First!' is in The Sixth Holiday Book.
