The Child Who Was Chosen

Post by Tessie Bear »

I would love to read this to my adopted daughter but can't find a copy anywhere. Does anyone know if it was ever reprinted in any other form, annual, omnibus, etc. It was originally published as a pamphlet in 1955. I've been unsuccessful in getting my hands on a copy. You can email me directly if you wish at vainio@shaw.ca if you have any info. Thanks!!

The Child Who Was Chosen

Sorry, Tessie Bear, I don't know where you could get a copy but I wanted to say that I too would be interested to read this, just to see how Enid Blyton handles the issue of adoption. In Part 3 of his Illustrated Bibliography, Tony describes The Child Who Was Chosen as a 7-page booklet consisting of one story. He adds that it may have been privately published.
