Anyone remember reading this?

Post by Tess »

It was a story in a collection (they may not all have been by E.B.), two or three children, hot day, decide to go for a picnic. Mother (of course) tells them what they may take, including the customary bottle of pop, plus tomatoes from the greenhouse, and also some fresh pea pods from the garden saying'I know how you love fresh peas'!
They take the picnic up a hill and climb a tree to eat while sitting on a broad branch - well it would have to be wouldn't it?
Anyone who can recall this, I'd love to hear from you.
Many thanks

Sorry, no recollection of this at all, but can the mods move this to the Book/Story Search category? It might get more of a response there.
