food out the window short story .........

Post by Katie »

OK while I'm thinking of stories, does anyone know a book where the mother brings supper up to the play room and the children possibly only 2 of them throw part of this supper out of the window, possibly jelly, (but jelly does not ring true in thought to me) maybe it landed n the gardeners head ??? mother knows nothing till gardener comes in with it over his bald head ? children punished then ???

any help would be appreciated

Smiles to you

"Junket through the Window" was in "Tales at Bedtime" - early 1960's.

Thankyou tiq.

This is the book I must have reread so many times, as all of the stoires I have been thinking of apear to be coming out of tales at bedtime.

Now all I have to do is find a copy, to read to my son.

May you have a day gifted with many unexpected smiles

My neighbour told me he hated this mint jelly his aunt used to make, so every week whilst visiting her he would somehow manage to get her to go out of the room, so he would be able to throw it out of the window.
Then one day it was getting a bit colder, and again when he came to visit she gave him mint jelly. He did the same trick again, but the window was closed!    :P
There is always something else new to learn.
