Swimming to an island

Post by Robbie »

Does anyone remember which book had children swimming (not rowing or sailing) to an island. I remember them sleeping in the woods the night before - piling bracken up to sleep on. I loved swimming and this seemed the ultimate adventure. I'd love to re-read it and kindle some memories. Maybe it wasn't an Enid Book but I'm 90% sure it was.

Islands don't narrow it down much! But swimming to an island probably does.
Thanks

Towards the end of The Secret of Spiggy Holes, the children spend the night in the woods and Mike and Jack swim out to the Secret Island in the moonlight. Perhaps that's what you're thinking of?
