The Ladies in the Famous Five's life...

Post by pete9012S »

The Famous Five met some stunning ladies on their travels.
Here's seven... Can you name them (if they are named in the books) and say which book they appear in?

Of course you may confer and work as a team - have another guess after someone else has had a go.

This isn’t easy as I haven’t looked at a physical copy of any of the books for decades!!

A - Mrs Stick?
C - Mrs Thomas (might have her name wrong - the lady kept prisoner at Old Towers in Fix?
Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult...

I think D is the lady in Five on a Hike who lives in the farmhouse Dick and Anne stumble across when they get lost.

F is Mrs Layman? Wilfrid's grandmother/aunt from Five Have a Mystery to Solve.

B = Dirty Dick's mother (or was she wife?) in Five on a Hike Together?

[Edit] - having seen the answer to D, then (unless you're being very tricky!) I presume that's wrong.

B) Mrs. Jane's from Billycock Hill.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Is E the shopkeeper in Five Run Away Together when George is buying Methylated Spirit?
Don't know her name if it is.

And A may be Aggie from Five Get Into Trouble?
