Can you guess the name of the book and the name of the illustrator from the pic above?
I will post more pics from the book if the game stalls....

It's definitely Enid Blyton's Animal Lover's Book but I'm afraid I can't name the illustrator. The picture of the waggon is gorgeous though.

It certainly isn't Maxey, as this illustrator has talent.

Anita is of course correct! (James Lucas was the illustrator).
Can't believe I'm saying it, but perhaps Nigel needs to be a little more tolerant. :D :D

Next:

Can you name the book and the illustrator?
Don't worry, more pics can be added if needed as we go along to help.

The moral in this is that you can't please them all, Pete. :|

It's one of the Secret Sevens, but no idea which. I'll guess it's George Brook though.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Yes! George Brook is right, but not a Secret Seven book sorry Fiona.
I think the above pic should help nail it!

I am actually playing with the Mary Pollock books at the moment for the back cover of Journal 80 as they were published 80 years ago in 1943 !
