Yes it is John, very good. Over to you.
The Chief looked at Fatty. "Brains are good, courage is excellent, resourcefulness is rare," he said, "but generosity crowns everything, Frederick. One of these days I'll be proud of you!" - "Vanished Prince".

Thank you, Anjalli. :D

How about this one.
"We'll go up to the cottage and investigate, Captain," said the sergeant, shutting his notebook with a snap. "It's a wee bit unlikely we'll be finding anything to make a noise about, but we'll go."

Here you are:
So they picnicked on the sands with Timothy sharing more than half their lunch. The sandwiches were not very nice. The bread was too stale; there was not enough butter inside, and they were far too thick. But Timothy didn’t mind. He gobbled up as many as he could, his tail wagging so hard that it sent sand over everyone.

Thanks Hannah. That really was a wild guess as I don't think I have read that book since I was a child. However, I thought the sandwiches had to be made by someone other than the cook to be that bad, so Mrs. Stick came to mind straight away. :D

Here's the next:
The boys rowed down the lake and came to the place where Jack usually landed - a well-hiden spot by the lakeside, where trees came right down to the water. The dragged the boat in and then made their way through the wood.

Thanks, John.
The great seaplane came zooming overhead, very close to the water. It had seen the raft and was coming to examine it more closely.

Is it The Adventurous Four?
The Chief looked at Fatty. "Brains are good, courage is excellent, resourcefulness is rare," he said, "but generosity crowns everything, Frederick. One of these days I'll be proud of you!" - "Vanished Prince".

Thank you Moonraker.

New quote:

"Hallo!" said the man. He was young and smartly dressed. "Who are you? Are you visiting my great-uncle! Hallo, Uncle! How are you?"
