That one I think is on the bus going into Sheepsale - Spiteful Letters.

It was used in Holly Lane, but I can't think which other book.

Could the other book be The mystery of the strange bundle?

Could that one be Hidden House. That could be Ern Goon on the bicycle.

That's intriguing to see the cover - Strange Bundle - using the picture from Holly Lane. A book cover I've never seen before. :D

That's the one!

Can you use your Jane Marple powers of deduction to identify this book?

Gosh that's an usual illustration for the Find-Outers, Pete. I can't even see any of the children in that one!

I'll take a huge guess at Holly Lane, when Fatty asked the Find-Outers to do certain tasks and one of them was shadowing Goon I think it was.

Something it could have depicted ...

A poster pointed out that Mr Fellows must have been followed when he ran off with the strange bundle, as the criminals knew where he had dumped it. But as this was not described in the prose, it wouldn't have been illustrated.

Could it be Burnt Cottage. Mr Hicks came back at night to set fire to the cottage he worked in.
