Which Secret Seven Book - Unfamiliar Cover

Post by pete9012S »

You know the score by now - which title has been cropped.

Here's a list of all the books for reference - as if your anything like me, you may not know 'em all by heart:
Book 1: The Secret Seven (1949)
Book 2: Secret Seven Adventure (1950)
Book 3: Well Done Secret Seven (1951)
Book 4: Secret Seven on the Trail (1952)
Book 5: Go Ahead Secret Seven (1953)
Book 6: Good Work Secret Seven (1954)
Book 7: Secret Seven Win Through (1955)
Book 8: Three Cheers Secret Seven (1956)
Book 9: Secret Seven Mystery (1957)
Book 10: Puzzle for the Secret Seven (1958)
Book 11: Secret Seven Fireworks (1959)
Book 12: Good Old Secret Seven (1960)
Book 13: Shock for the Secret Seven (1961)
Book 14: Look out Secret Seven (1962)
Book 15: Fun for the Secret Seven (1963)
And off we go with a bizarre, but perhaps fairly easy starter:

I remember the plot of this one but no idea which title it is, they're all so vague!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Forgive me for sneaking this in, but it's possibly my fave Secret Seven & Derek Lucas cover.
Anyone spot a hidden face?

Yes, did anyone see the face in the pic? I wondered if Rob had. I know like me he's a big fan of the Derek Lucas externals.
Could be pareidolia, unless Derek Lucas was being artistically playful..

Is it Look Out Secret Seven, with the elderly gentleman telling Colin about his medals being stolen?

Oooh - so close Julie. The cover you suggested (above) does have a character holding a weapon, but it's not that one, sorry.

What about Look Out. The one with Bramley Woods. There's villains in that book. Not sure if they've got a big stick though.
