Beach: the shoreline, where J,D,A,G&T can often be seen walking along... but especially in "Five Fall Into Adventure" where George soon confronts what turns out to be that girl named Jo, after George spots her "stealing [her] boat".

And also in same episode, on the same or similar beach, a reluctant Anne sees off Julian, Dick and Jo sailing in George's boat Eryngium in search of George at Red Towers' hideout.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Grass: In The Mystery of the Hidden House, one of Ern's attempts at writing "portry" begins with "The pore old man lay on the grass..." — but doesn't get any further, despite his sincere efforts!

Lake: The lake where the Secret Island is — I do wonder how "secret" it could really be when it's perfectly visible from the shore, but why let realism spoil a jolly good story?
