OK, back to the original game:

Who said this, and in which episode?

“He’s not like a dog at all!”

To which of the books does this refer, and to whom?
The little scamp has taken Dick's bike and is off via the woods and the valleys and the hills to Granton to rattle the window of a man who could be connected with the current situation.
Sorry, I had completely forgotten about this and can’t remember the answer. I’m away at present, so will see if I can come up with the book and the answer when I get home. I hadn’t even realised it was the TV series thread.

Not to worry, Nigel. It doesn’t look like anyone else remembers the answer either!

It's a long time since I've watched any of the TV episodes, but in the books that's said by Mr Lenoir in Smugglers Top when he meets Timmy at the end of the book.

Thanks, Morgan.

I haven't watched the TV show enough to know what they use and what they don't so, if it's my 'turn', then feel free to post another question on my behalf. :)

No worries, Bertie!

At the start of Five Go Off in a Caravan, Julian says to Dick “Do you see what I see?” and George says to Anne “You’ll never believe this!” - what had caught their attention?

Well, again, I'm having to base my guess on the book - in that, all the sleeping children are startled to see the Circus go by, led, I think, by the Elephants?

I’ll give you that, Bertie, as you mentioned elephants. In the TV adaptation, the children see a lone elephant standing in a stream or narrow river! It turns out to be Old Lady, being “bathed” by Nobby.

Ah, thanks for allowing that Morgan.
I really must rewatch those '78 series. I haven't got any myself but I bought the set on DVD for my nephews a few years ago in the hope they'd get into Enid. I don't know how much they watched them, but I watched a few myself before handing them on and may borrow them back at some point. :)

Failing that, all episodes are currently uploaded to a well-known video sharing website!

If you don’t want to ask the next question, I’ll leave it so anyone can jump in!

I’ll ask a question:

Who said the following line to whom, and in which episode?

Cup of tea? And who may I ask has been inviting you to afternoon tea?”
