 I can't even remember what it was!!!

Oh, hang on... I've just taken a careful look at it — after baffling three online anagram solvers! — and now I remember. If you want a clue, the title contains the name of a fairly well-known Blyton character (which probably explains why the anagram websites didn't get it).

Edit: Here's the clue again, since we've gone onto another page:

Okay - thanks Courtenay. It did cross my mind that you may not now remember the answer - glad you can and will now search for a well known Blyton name contained in a title.

It was only with a bit of luck, Daisy. I decided to look down the list of Character Books. I hadn't seen this topic before as it hadn't been posted in since I joined. I only saw it about 15 minutes ago.

Well done, John! :D I knew that clue might give it away, but at least it got the game moving again...

Thanks John... it isn't easy to think up a clue that makes sense, so I hesitated to reply at all! I'll see what I can do.

Ack, I spent ages working on that and thought of Five Have a Wonderful Time but for some reason I couldn't make it fit!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.
