Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to this! :D Here's another riddle:

I am probably one of the cleverest animals Enid Blyton ever wrote about.
My colouring was once said to bring good luck.
One time, I was stolen, leading one of my human friends to go on a daring mission to find and rescue me.

Who am I, and in which book(s) do I feature?

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Lucky from the Galliano's Circus books?
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I was named by children and stood within green walls until the 1970s. Now I only exist in miniature.

Who or what am I?

Sounds like Green Hedges, former home of Enid Blyton in Beaconsfield!

OK, here's another one:

I am the four-legged companion of one of Enid Blyton's regular short-story characters.
I frequently assist my master in his philanthropic work.
Strangely, Enid doesn't appear to have been certain about my gender!! :P

It is Courtenay. A little too easy that one I think. By the way there's no need for the 'Sir' just yet as my knighthood still hasn't offically been confirmed by Her Majesty, for some curious reason...

I just remembered it's my turn in this one! I'll try a poetic one too. This shouldn't be too hard either...

My first is in BOASTFUL but isn't in BRAGGER
My second's in LEADER and also in SWAGGER
My third is in PERFECT and also CORRECT
My fourth's not in DANGER but is in DETECT
My fifth is in BRAINY but never in DOUBT
From these clues my whole you can surely find out!

I think I know the answer to this! But if I say, I will have to make up a new riddle, and I can't do that - my mind just doesn't seem to work that way. So perhaps I will just wait for someone else to answer.

Regards, Michael.
