Thanks, Anjalli. Yes, I thought it was knobbly hands (I've read it enough times!) but, for some reason, my mind went blank and I couldn't remember the word.

In The Mystery of Holly Lane, why was Fatty in the old man's garden at the time his furniture was stolen?

I don't think this is right, but I will say 'looking for Larry's shammy leather'..

Yes, that's it. Well done, Pete.
Fatty had promised Larry he'd go to look for it, but had forgotten until Buster wanted his late night walk. That's why Fatty was there so late.

Your turn.

Wow, thanks Bertie - for some reason I was convinced Fatty had told Larry he had to retrieve it himself!

Oh .. okay that is a very difficult one. Was it a balloon? I remember Fatty being a balloon lady but I do not remember if she managed to buy one or not

Great suggestion Yak - but not a balloon.

I think she tried to buy a bar of chocolate from a waxwork dummy.

Here is another question.
The thief in Invisible Thief is Twit the baker.
In which book was there another character with the surname Twit?

That was in Pantomime Cat.
When Pippin started suspecting Fatty was all the red heads he kept seeing, he tried to rip off the real red hair of Theodore Twit, the Vicar's brother, who he had kept encountering riding his bicycle.

Was it something about being fired for stealing his master's fruit?
