Re: Find-Outers Series Quiz
Thanks, Eddie.
According to Inspector Jenks, why did Mr. Hick quarrel "...with a good many people..." not long before his detatched workroom burned down?
Not needed to win this round, but 2 bonus smilies for anyone who can explain why the blazes Enid Blyton - or perhaps her publishers - called this workroom a COTTAGE!

Re: Find-Outers Series Quiz
I am not sure, but did he have all these quarrels so that there would be a lot of people angry with him and they would be suspects in setting the fire?
As to the other question, I am not sure. I only know what a cottage is from watching "Escape to the Country".

Thank you.
In the beginning of "Strange Bundle", which Find-Outer is blamed for starting the flu epidemic that swept through the whole group?

Yes, Eddie, it was Bets. Pip is blaming her in the very first paragraph.

I know this one, but as I just had a turn, I will wait and let somebody else answer it.

Re: Find-Outers Series Quiz
Might it have been one of Ern's dear uncle's police notebooks, which felonious misappropriation shocked all 5 of the thoroughly middle-class Find-Outers to the core?

That would be none other than PC Goon, Aurélien. (And he caught a nasty cold while he was at it, too.)

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
