Re: Hangman
First Term at Malory Towers?
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Re: Hangman
It doesn't work that way - it's not like "20 Questions" or anything. You guess letters one by one - or two at a time, according to the method originally specified; then the question-setter reveals where those letters appear in the word or phrase (if at all), and you use *that* to narrow down the possibilities and zero in on the solution - guessing more and more letters until you can deduce (or guess) what the solution is.ananya2410 wrote:need a clue,a tiny weeny one!

Re: Hangman
Well, as I illustrated in my original post, a clue can be acceptable - especially if it isn't just a book title. For example, the word doesn't need to be a title - it could be, for example, Ginger Pop. In this case, a clue could be helpful! I still think the clue should be spaced out into words rather than one long line. But what do I know? I only devised the game.

Re: Hangman
Seems a shame to let this game die, so let's see if it can be revived. Playing by Nigel's intended rules:

Clue: it's a place featured in one book.
Cryptic clue: Exit light, enter night, take my hand, we're off to never never land.
