There is an unusual break-in.
The culprit is found and locked up.
Will he escape?
Has he got an accompanist near-by?

So just to re-cap....

A strange method of breaking and entering is employed
The thief is captured and secured
Questionably,will he procure his freedom?
Is there somebody playing a musical instrument on his behalf in the vicinity?

Hmmmm.... certainly an intriguing one young Trev...

Line One: Incorrect. "Why should he break-in?" or "He doesn't usually break-in".
Line Two: Correct.
Line Three: Half-Correct. Moreso "Does he get free in the book?"
Line Four: Incorrect. "Has be got a friend near to set him free?"

Al lot of clues in this one! :D

Sure! Ask any question you like. I think it does reference somewhere that he is actually.

I wondered about the musical friend too - but I guess you mean 'accomplice' and not 'accompanist'
You've certainly set us a head-scratcher Trevor!

TMOT the Invisible Thief?
Five are Together Again?
Rilloby Fairy Mystery?
TMOT Pantomime Cat?
TMOT Disappearing Cat?

I know they don't fit all the clues but seeing as you mixed up lighthouse for house in the other game I'm going to go out on a limb.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Sorry. A spelling error that I didn't pick up.

Is this burnt cottage when Fatty and Larry go to Mr Smellies?
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy

Its The Mystery of the Missing Necklace. We are talking about Fatty breaking into the waxworks and dressing as Napoleon, with Goon (the "accomplice") standing nearby. Later Fatty is locked in there and it is doubtful if he will get out.
