Re: Five Face Up to a Challenge - new FF story
I like the story as well and I love Daniel and John. If/When you write an other FF story, can you "advise" it in this thread? Thanks

Thank you Dinah. Yes, we are talking about doing another one sometime fairly soon, and I'm sure you'll see it when it starts!

Daisy, do you remember that you talked to me at Old Thatch about doing it in a different way next time - i.e. writing the story off the website and giving a link to it? If you could do that next time that would be great, thanks, as these story threads have ended up becoming longer than anticipated. Thanks!

Yes, Anita - I was going to speak to you about it before launching a new one. It won't be for a few weeks yet.

Thank you Darrell71. It is nice to see that there are people who appreciate our stories as much as we enjoy writing them.
Following the request of some readers here's the link to the new FF story, which will include John and DS Collins: http://www.enidblytonsociety.co.uk/foru ... =17&t=5013" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It was a very good bit of writing.--Five Face up to a challenge.--- why not do stories with each one taking up a bit?

Re: Five Face Up to a Challenge - new FF story
Thank you for the feedback, it is most appreciated by the authors.
This story, the second one out of three (so far) that Daisy and myself wrote, came into being after this one was completed. Cf. http://www.enidblytonsociety.co.uk/foru ... 36&start=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
As you will see, it started the way you described, but after a while, people lost interest or didn't add to the story for different reasons.
Besides, it is very hard to work out a usable plot without contacting each other about events - which we didn't do before the EB day in May of 2010...
So for any story to work like you suggest, Nair Snehalatha, you need a team of authors willing to work together and to discuss their work more privately in PMs, so as not to spoil the fun for their readers.
We usually called for volunteers to join us - and usually there were no takers. If you have a look at the time line, you will see that it takes a lot of time. The first one started February 2010 and finished in June 2011. To keep up the spirit for so long is hard, believe me.
There is a new project Daisy and I are busy with, we will say more if and when it is ready to see the light of day.

I absolutely agree with you Dick--- just it would be adventurous and enterprising.
Re: Five Face Up to a Challenge - new FF story
Yes, I seem to remember I once wrote a segment where Timmy was shot dead by the villains. I believe a later post from someone relayed it all as a dream!

Daniel is a character we introduced into the story as we needed an Irish officer for the purposes of the plot. You will find him if you care to read the story yourself.
