Re: Can We Do a Limerick Together???
My book shelves are getting too full,
I can't get one out when I pull!
I'll just have to try,
With a crowbar, to pry

Tis like pulling a tooth from a bull.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Thank you both. I was a little stumped to be honest. There seem to be surprisingly few words that rhyme with pull or full.

That's why we all left the last line to you!
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

I remember we had one limerick that rhymed "gull" with "pull", but that depends on having the right accent!

What rhymes with meadow? There might be some words, but I can't think of any!

Re: Can We Do a Limerick Together???
If you just look for words with "owe" sounding endings there are plenty - if you want "doe" sounds, there are admittedly far fewer but "shadow" might do, or "rondo" perhaps.

I was going to cheat with something like 'Fatty came out of his shed-o !
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth

Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'
