Thanks so much Tony, Laura, Eddie and Aurélien for your good wishes.

Think we all did pretty well - three ageing bookworms and Laura (have the feeling that Laura is probably not a 'senior citizen' yet)! :D

Oops, how remiss of me! I forgot to say thanks to Tony for devising the quiz in the first place - it's been great fun. :D

Aurélien - Gadzooks is probably very naughty.

Tony has my vote of thanks, too. Maybe, next time, he could :P call for the contribution of 10 or more questions from the person with the highest score in this quiz....sort of spread some of the workload.

Gadzooks can be a sad trial, Timmylover, but what  can one expect these days from a liberated, 'with-it', modern, urban-type insect?

I can't possibly imagine, Aurélien - no shortage of them, though. :?

The worst of it, Timmylover, is that Gadzooks and his chums are all *sigh* party insects!

Spitty! :( No matter how much I tried I found the answers only for Seven Questions. They are not worth to send through PM. Some of the names look familiar but I have no idea as to what book they belong to! :o

I'd better try to get some help from somewhere. :)

Aurélien, old chum - Gadzooks and his cronies are clearly very discerning and intelligent party insects.
What has become of them now and did you have to sweep them up?

Maybe the person who provided their party booze could suggest a human equivalent - to be planted, very discreetly, at similarly riotous human gatherings.

Dastardly eh? - and just a tad misanthropic! 8)

Gadflies may be small, Timmylover, but their bites  are no joke....one steps very carefully around them! (Especially the morning after one of their wild parties.)

Moi a party-pooper, so close to the festive season? I will admit, though, that I've sometimes wished for a magical remote control unit for turning down the volume of other people's car and home audio systems....

And a gizmo for blocking mobile phone signals. How I'd love to see their faces when their calls fail...

Just sent my answers to Tony too! What a great quiz. I freely admit I cheated a lot using Google
Still, I am glad to have been introduced to a bunch of books I hadn't known about before.
Thanks Tony!

Yes, we have two more scores in and both have admitted to having a bit of help from Google - I must admit I hadn't realised that Mr. Google would be so helpful in the quiz and I guess some of the earlier attempts might have also leant slightly on him.

70s-child scored a very respectable 184 - good stuff again.

I feel an absolute idiot for not using Google myself when I was setting the questions - it might have saved me a day or two!!

Oh, I forgot to mention Anita's score, but I guess you already know what the Queen of Quiz would do on it - 200!

What I find really amusing is that the one question that almost everybody got wrong, as Google seemed unable to help, was an Enid Blyton one!
