Re: Guess the character
Black Beauty, Lotta's horse from the Galliano books.
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy

Re: Guess the character
Correct! (I have to admit, I considered giving "I appear on Courtenay's avatar" as a hint... )
Well done, Shadow - your turn.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Re: Guess the character
Thanks, when I realised who it was I glanced at your avatar and had to smile.
Here's the next one.
I do a lot of walking all year round in the English countryside. I often chat to my nephew and niece Peter and Mary. I think there is something exciting to see at every season of the year.

Thanks, Shadow!
New One:
I am sterm and sensible.
I accompany four children and see them fall into adventure on several occasions -
And secretly am very amused by their antics:
Especially one child in particular and his hilarious idiotic escapades!

I am very cunning-- I use a trained animal to conduct thefts, in important places-- but I am just the cat's paw-- there's a master mind behind this. Iam a very bad-tempered person-- so perhaps I am disliked .

I am an adult and have a very important position as boss of my own business. You can tell my mood just by looking at my headgear.

Re: Guess the character
Right, here's another...
Although I am only a very small character, I have many exciting adventures in the world I inhabit. (Once I was even offered a trip to Africa, but missed my flight.)
I have something of a knack for obtaining useful household items from unusual sources.
I have even been responsible for the distinctive markings of certain birds!
Who am I?
