As no one has set a new one for ages, here is a new one:

My initials are MM and my partner in crime's "nickname initials" are DD. What is my first name & surname?

As kirrin-castle hasn't been on for some time, you might have to wait for confirmation of that, at least from him, Daisy. :D If you intend this to keep going you may as well assume it is correct, I guess. ;)

This seems to be a quiz where the winners don't return! Anyway here's one I hope is easier.

I am a little girl whose big brother gets fed up of me very often, but he has a friend who always sticks up for me! I wish he was my brother, he is so kind.

My uncle is a real buffoon with a nasty streak and he really hates my friends. He calls them toads!

My new friend wasn't too happy when he was startled by a strange voice just before I met him for the first time.

Would that Jack Trent, whose new friend Philip Mannering was startled by Kiki? :D

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
