Love to be like Fatty?

Post by Somita »

Hi guys! Do you like Fatty? Do you want to be like him? Well, I have written a short "pome" here, I tried to write like Ern's. Just continue it, just like Fatty continued Ern's incomplete "pomes". You can write at any length, as much as you know. But I request you something, please, don't attach your signature. Here goes!
A Pore Old Man
A pore old man,
Sniffed in the nose,
Broken was his voice,
Wounded were his toes.
He limped on the ground,
On his aching legs,
He shuffeled in a corner,
Sitting on broken desk.
On one dark night,
Something queer happened,
He laid on the floor,
His body was flatened.
The age took him away,
To some far place,
He didn't move his body,
And pale was his face.
He didn't move his lips,
And didn't open eyes,
He didn't breathe the air,
In long, long sighs.....

When he came round
Nothing was found
He shouted for help
And heard a dog yelp
Suddenly it was light
Really too bright
A girl suddenly appeared
And as she neared
She said, "Hello, old thing
Don't worry - it's Ming!"
There's not much I could muster,
But I have brought Buster

He's very yappy,
The little chappy;
He'll lick your face
With style and grace -
He'll wake you up,
The cheeky pup.

If Busters here,
Let's give a cheer,
As Fatty will be around
With Goon close on his heels, I'll be bound.
Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.
"See that? It's the black Bentley again. KMF 102!"

He said he was in Tippylooloo
But he always knew just how to fool you
And as you look at Ming more closely,
Fatty's eyes gaze back morosely.
'I'm in disguise, my plight is frightful,
Goon's on the war-path, feeling spiteful.
Into my shed he has been peering,
He's found that gypsy woman's ear-ring!'
Gwendoline lay down, angry. She determined to make herself miserable and cry.

This was about Fatty,
Said little Bets,
The pore man smiled,
And up he gets.
But Bets helped him,
Down again,
Fatty will come soon,
Said she in vain.
But Fatty didn't arrive,
He was searching clues,
To solve the mystery,
Of robbery done by the dudes.
The pore old man,
Started to sniff,
When Buster barked,
The man seemed very deaf.

But the pore man was a crook,
Soon realised Bets,with horror!
As she could see a gun,
Poking out from his trouser corner,
The man soon tied Bets and Buster,
To the nearby pole.
Bets prayed and prayed that Fatty would come.
Soon she heard a whistle and a hum.....
And happily thought that fatty had come,
But came instead had dear Ern !!
Now wait and watch what would happen.

Ern started towards the two
Praying a "poeming" that no one knew
Where he was bound
To rescue the girl and the hound

Around the corner not far to go
He now met Mrs Clair Margo
Hello dear didn't know you were here
on holiday too Or are you?
Ern finally got away
Just in time to hear Bets say
Here comes Ern Hooray Hooray!

I guess I shall have to change the rules, guys! Well, as many people forget, now, there is no need to worry about signatures. You can attach them if you like.
Well, now my poem:-)
Now Ern will be able to call Fatty
Thought Bets excitedly
But dear me, somebody leaped out at him
Bets shrieked, just in time
For Fatty came just around the corner
what does he look like, a burglar?
nope, certainly not, he's cool as ever
When he sees Bet bound in ropes,
Guess what he does?

You don't even have to do that! At the bottom of the page where you write your reply is a box marked 'Options'. Uncheck the box that say "Attach a signature" and your signature will not be added on that post.

Ern nearly faints dead with a scream
to see poor Bets looking like a submerged submarine
All tied in ropes with no hopes of escape
can he rescue her or is it too late?

Fatty and Buster appear on the scene
with a police man at their heels, so keen
They rescue dear Bets from the pools of despair.
Making sure she is all fair and square.

Bets has come out unscathed and okay
But has a lot to say.
There is always something else new to learn.

So its off to the dairy they go ..
(its the days pre cholesterol-what ho!)

they scoff cakes with cream
in quantities obscene...

and they drink tons of fizz
but never need to whizz

Cos these are the days
of different ways

no counselors,phychics or shrinks
to ease kids back from the brink

just old fashioned grub
real ale in the pub
and chums with deep pockets and means
" A kind heart always brings its own reward," said Mrs. Lee.

So its off to the dairy they go ..
Many people believe that Enid was influenced to use a Dairy as a return of children to their mother's breast. Milk was the first food, so it is quite natural for a Dairy to become a substitute to the warmth, comfort and security of the mother.

I wonder if our friend Stephen I has any theories on this?
