Love to be like Fatty?
Re: Love to be like Fatty?
And I don't have a white know sticking out of my right side! Otherwise a pretty good likeness! Funnily enough, someone used to call me The Mekon!
Oh, and Icey:
♫♫Beneath your perfume and make-up
You're just a baby in disguise
And though you know
That it's wrong to be
Alone with me
That come on look is in your eyes
Whaoo-oh-oh
Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
Better run, girl
You're much too young, girl♫♫

Mistype of 'knob' perhaps?
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Moonraker i imagined you as a small bear with a tilted head not a happy meal toy!
Abi.
Still trialling other writers, but will eventually go back to reading a bit of Blyton! Just too many books...
Occasionally will pop in! xx

Re: Love to be like Fatty?
A poem I wrote a little while ago....
Enid Blyton was her name,
Writing books was her game.
“Famous Five”, “Saint Clare’s”, she invented them all
“Mr. Goon” who could ‘round a bend and drive you up a wall
And on that wall you would stay
Until you had to go to bed that day
Then early in that morning you would rise,
And finish the book of “Fatty” and the spies.
And then go out into the garden and play,
Just like Fatty, Larry, Daisy, Pip and Bets did that day.
“Woo-hoo-collywobbles” was the name
Of that rumbly-tumbley old game
While the “Famous Five” go adventuring on the marsh,
“Mr. Pink-Whistle”; was never nothing like rash.
“The Three Golliwogs” played their tricks,
While the readers got their kicks
Oh Enid we wish you were with us today
Oh what fun with the days so gay,
Under the tree and in the shade,
Nibbling on Macaroons while sipping lemonade
THE END

Re: Love to be like Fatty?
Nice one Trevor!
I amended my earlier entry slightly:
I amended my earlier entry slightly:
So its off to the dairy they go ..
(in these days pre cholesterol-what ho!)
They scoff cakes with cream
in amounts quite obscene...
Then they drink tons of fizz
(without needing a whizz)
Cos these are the days
of different ways
No counsellors,psychics or shrinks
to ease these kids back from the brink
Just old fashioned grub
with real ale in each pub
and chums with deep pockets and means..
" A kind heart always brings its own reward," said Mrs. Lee.
