BTW, do we keep the winning option for the next one or do we give two new options?
That's a good question Ming :!:

It can be nice to see a particular option last a long time, and it may be easier to just have to think of one new option. I also suspect that a number of people will choose to keep the winning option because that is what happens on the "Who do you prefer" string.

On the other hand it's fun to be able to offer two contrasting options like 'looking after Buster or Timmy?'.

I'm minded to say keep either option. :)

If members are happy with keeping both options open, I'll edit my post which started the string in order to make the rule clear. I'll amend the post sometime on Saturday - unless a heated debate develops.

Strange! I did edit my first post, as agreed, and then thought I had added a post saying "Your turn Ming".

I wonder what happened to it? Oh well. Your turn Ming.

Definitely Two Trees. What a wonderful, atmospheric location. The burnt house, eerie lake, boathouse.....love to find it!

A week's holiday....from the Adventure series:

On the Islands (from Sea) or on the River of Adventure?

The Scottish islands from Sea - that's one of my favourite Blytonian locations.

A den in a tree-house or a den in a cave?

I was thinking of you when I wrote that, Anita. I hoped you'd check in, as I knew what your answer would be! I'm still up for the trip if you are.

Oh, a cave. I have always searched for caves when on holiday, but they all have petered out to nothing!

If there was one complete series of Blyton's you hadn't read, which would you want it to be?

The Adventure series or the Find-Outer series?

[Nigel:]"I was thinking of you when I wrote that, Anita. I hoped you'd check in, as I knew what your answer would be!"

Hmm - I'll have to try to be a little more unpredictable in future!

[Nigel:] "I'm still up for the trip if you are. "

Certainly. Jack et al went in May, of course, though I expect the weather would be a lot colder than Enid Blyton leads us to believe! :)

[Nigel:] "If there was one complete series of Blyton's you hadn't read, which would you want it to be?
The Adventure series or the Find-Outer series"

I find that almost impossible to answer because both series were an important part of my childhood. I really couldn't have done without knowing Fatty as I grew up, so I'll have to say that I'd rather have The Adventure Series still to read.

Which would you buy - a cuckoo clock or a ship in a bottle?
