In the big quarrel between the two Mam'zelles who did Mam'zelle Rougier want to give the main parts to?
...and there, hidden among the leaves, was Peronel. She had beautiful golden hair and was dressed in silvery white with silver wings on her back.

Close enough. I will give it to you, though it was actually Mam'zelle Dupont who made things right by laughing at the pictures of herself and making Mam'zelle Rougier soften a little. This led to the end of the fight.
