George Chedzoy

I am being followed by this author, on Twitter, and I thought his new book looked rather good. Good news for Kindle readers is that it is free! You can read the first chapter HERE.

Brilliant! Thanks for the information, Nigel. I've just added it to my Kindle collection. :D

Delighted with support from lead member of Enid Blyton Soc who has publicised book on Twitter and in forums. It's sort of good luck I need!

Looks a good read, but can't we buy it in book form?

Also if you can download it free, how does the author make any money! :?

It's only free for a couple of days. It's all about getting yourself noticed, Julie! Little acorns and all that... :D

I have just finished this book, and can't recommend it highly enough. It is very Blyton in style, but that isn't saying the style is copied. Being set in the current time, mobile phones and laptops make their appearance. This doesn't make it any easier for the kids to get help though, as the author cleverly shows! I believe it is only on Kindle at the moment, Julie - yet another reason to buy one! You know you'll have one one day, so why not get one now! :D

It is still available, for 77p.

I've read the book on my daughters kindle the other week. It is very good. But I would still like to see it as book form as I like to hold a book and feel the pages, you can't do that with a kindle.

As I said last week, when we spend the day together, Nigel, I don't want a kindle. And I thought you said something along the lines of "you'll have one if I have to buy it you myself!" All gifts gratefully received! :P

Looks interesting. I've downloaded it. If I don't like it, it's only 77p I've spent.
I've read some great indie books since owning a Kindle. I have to stop downloading books as I have nearly 40 unread now!

He only said that, Ming, referring to a bet! So I doubt a kindle will be heading my way.

It will, it certainly will. Like many women, Julie shuns anything new, with the excuse , "I haven't needed it so far." She probably said that about the internet.....

Ming - I don't know whether to give you a kiss or a slap when next we meet!
