Some great titles in that list, Pete. I have very happy memories of The Magic Walking Stick being read to my class by my teacher, Mr Bear, when I was nine years old. In recent years I have managed to find a copy of it and have read it for myself and enjoyed doing so. It's good to see it in the Kindle list.
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

I know very little of his work but for 49p that has to be the bargain of the century Pete.

I've got a copy of The Thirty Nine Steps which I haven't read for some time but I've never read any of his other work. That looks like a real bargain, Pete.

Wonderful .......and so what if some of the prose is un p.c. - that was the norm in the early 20th Century.
