I'm sure Captain Johns' stories must have saved a few lives over the years - what a fantastic legacy. Nice to see vintage (and possibly un-PC) literature may still be put to practical good use :D
Gwendoline lay down, angry. She determined to make herself miserable and cry.

Nice story.
One of my books, Biggles of 266, is a collection of First World War stories. I enjoy those early stories. Planes and warfare changed quite a lot between the two wars.

Caird Park, where the crash occurred is only two miles down the road from me, and it is the talk of our city at the moment...... we're all really surprised it's made it into the newspapers, news shows, online news and even the msn home page news......
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.
