Amazon in the UK has it on sale at the moment. See here:

Unfortunately it is a bit too new to be readily available 2nd hand. I'm sure the library would have it though.

Also there are the Famous Five comics. They have the same titles but the story lines have been altered.

Hi there
I have only discovered this sight!....Wow!!!.. little did I know that Enid is still so popular!
I was an avid Enid Blyton reader as a child, in fact, a book a week was a treat for me and my sister, after enduring Sunday mass!!!...
I was so entralled by Enid Blyton that I had plans to be an author and illustator....so at age nine I started to write and illustrate my own books.... till I got to age 13/14. (I wrote about 12 in all on various different themes) I recently discovered them and there is one book which is a personalised version of Secret Seven, written when I was 12. Its not a copy but a group of kids who set up a clubhouse and its very enid like.
As this thread is about new Enids I was wondering if there was any way of presenting my book, or having it published etc...
Not an April Fool joke!)

I've only read Famous Five and the Golden Galleon, and Famous Five In Deadly Danger. The biggest problem with these books (for me), are the titles. As Keith mentioned in his site, the titles mean something, but the worst of it is, they include the word 'Famous'. None of the original Five books have Famous in the title. Have you ever seen The Famous Five Go Off In A Caravan?

In a way though, that helps distinguish them more easily from Enid Blyton's originals.Jeffery Greyling wrote:I've only read Famous Five and the Golden Galleon, and Famous Five In Deadly Danger. Re: New authors of the Famous Five and Secret Seven etc
i been looking for a thread to tell me who also wrote 5 books and it turns out to be Claude Voiler .
I think i have read
The Famous Five and the Stately Homes Gang
The Famous Five and the Missing Cheetah
The Famous Five Versus the Black Mask
The Famous Five and the Golden Galleon
The Famous Five and the Z-Rays
The Famous Five and the Hijackers i think if that is the one with the plane and being lost in the jungle even as a child that one made me go o.O
i do remember liking black mask though and reading it over and over looking back now not even close to the original but i would like to re read them just to see what i think as an adult lol
some of the covers of these books disturbed me though Anne looked oldest and they all looked like 80's teenagers with odd hair i remember making my own covers lol

Re: New authors of the Famous Five and Secret Seven etc
I suppose that I am quite a purist... I'm not overly fond of the books written by other authors. I've got a few of them but they really didn't capture me in the same way that Enid Blyton's books did. I also really don't like how some of her books have been modernized.

Have you read the continuation novels in the Secret Passage, Kristina?

No - maybe I'll try. I read the Golden Galleon and a few others by Claude Voiler and wasn't too impressed, but always willing to try reading another book

You'll be delighted! Well worth the membership money to gain access to the Secret Passage.

I agree entirely, Nigel.

Re: New authors of the Famous Five and Secret Seven etc
Did anyone else write their own Famous Five stories etc. when they were small (or now)? I remember writing my own Famous Five stories when I was 5 or 6. I wish I could find those notebooks again but unfortunately I'm certain that they are long gone.
