Just downloaded this free book about Jane Austin by one of her relatives:

A Memoir of Jane Austen is a biography of the novelist Jane Austen (1775–1817) published in 1869 by her nephew James Edward Austen-Leigh. A second edition was published in 1871 which included previously unpublished Jane Austen writings.[1] A family project, the biography was written by James Edward Austen-Leigh but owed much to the recollections of Jane Austen's many relatives. However, it was the decisions of her close friend and sister, Cassandra Austen, to destroy many of Jane's letters after her death that shaped the material available for the biography.

I've seen "Which Jane Austen character are you?" quizzes before, but this one I've just run across is a new one to me — Which Jane Austen heroine are you? (no male characters catered for, sorry :P )

For most of the questions there was more than one option that could apply to me, so I did it twice with different choices. The first time I turned out to be Anne Elliot and the second time I was Elizabeth Bennet, who are the heroines of my equal favourite Jane Austen books — Persuasion and Pride and Prejudice respectively — so it's obviously a highly accurate quiz. Well, possibly, anyway.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I can never resist quizzes of that sort! I got Elizabeth Bennet.
