Famous Five fantasy future careers
They persuaded Enid to join them on keyboards.
Timmy’s tail provides a metronome when he likes the music, he would like to be closer to George, but the drum solos are a bit too much for him.

And so does George. They have some ‘musical differences’ but so long as they stick to jazz-campfire songs-progressive rock fusion, their stylistic differences won’t be too much of an issue…

Julian trends more towards jazz - here he is jamming with a mate, ‘Fats’ Trotteville - a very accomplished trumpeter - the greatest since Satchmo (according to him).

Brilliant, Jomo! However, not sure about calling a grand piano a keyboard!

Brilliant Jomo, I enjoyed those, but knowing Fatty I am surprised he did not state that he was the greatest since the amazing Miles Davis!!!

In fact, Fatty would consider himself the best of all time. And Bets would agree.

Re: Famous Five fantasy future careers
George and Dick like a bit of old time Rock ‘n’ Roll!
Anne is not really into it but does excellent backup vocals.
George likes to think that she’s a WILD ONE like Little Richard.
The fans think she’s more like Cliff Richard.
It doesn’t help that one of the band’s best loved and best known covers, demanded by fans at every performance, is:
‘We’re All Going on a Summer Holiday’

It’s got keys!
‘Fats’ would probably rank himself with Dizzy Gillespie as well as any of the top 100 jazz trumpet virtuosos of all time.

Seeing that George, Julian, Anne and Dick were playing instruments together, Uncle Quentin wanted to join in. That made them a quintet and they became known as the Famous Five Quentinet.

Re: Famous Five fantasy future careers
What instrument does Quentin play? Perhaps he studied violin as a child? And maybe he’s developed a bit of a Gypsy jazz feel, like Stephane Grapelli. https://youtu.be/mZVJ9DlBKyg
But is Quentin really up to life on the road? Ann has set up a bit of a tour - gigs at various jazz, roots and blues, and folk festivals. Just imagine keeping Quentin on track and stopping him from losing everything but the clothes he’s standing up in!! Aunt Fanny better come along to help keep him organised.
Good name for the jazz lineup. But felt does it reflect their musical versatility?

Re: Famous Five fantasy future careers
Well George had to get her musical talent from somewhere, and in this, as in most things, she takes after her father.
Quentin always credited his very early musical training with helping him to develop his mathematical abilities so he has taken up the violin again - it helps him to de-stress and manage his temper. He finds it very calming and he’s found that regular practice correlates with enhanced alertness and concentration.

Re: Famous Five fantasy future careers
The ‘Hot Five’ have a new manager! He has connections and contacts everywhere and he’s already lined up some gigs at music festivals in Europe.
They are mainly Jazz gigs in Eastern Europe, which Julian is pretty pleased about, as he’s band leader for the jazz lineup.
George is hoping for a chance to do some Rock‘n’Roll, but is a bit sad at having to to leave Timmy home for a couple of weeks. It’s a funny coincidence, Uncle Quentin has just returned from Poland where he was consulting with some colleagues on some project they have going.
