Famous Five Calendars 2022

Post by Anita Bensoussane »

Looking at the Calendar Club website, I notice that there are two Famous Five calendars available for 2022 - a slim calendar and a bigger one. They look rather nice, though Pete may be disappointed to know that Betty Maxey isn't featured!

I really like that calendar Anita. It isn't a Maxey, but it really is good.
I think I would like to buy one when it is available. Thank you for the link.

I'm planning to buy the bigger one. It'll be lovely to have a Soper Famous Five picture to admire each month.

Why not buy them both as you would pay £2.99 postage if you bought the one larger one? It would only be an additional £3 for them both with free P&P.

I'm actually intending to buy two of the bigger Famous Five calendars (the second one as a present for someone) so free postage will apply.

I see. I just thought it was worth mentioning. I have pre-ordered both of them.

Thanks for the original link, Anita.

Those are lovely, but I use the planner kind of calendars with a different column for each of us... how many calendars is reasonable to have in one small flat?

I would like the bigger one Fiona. After I have used it as a calendar I would then like to frame some of the pictures inside the calendar in proper frames.

At the moment, the three I would like to frame are January, May and October.

I was torn between which one to go for, as I've used calendars of both sizes in past.

I think I might treat myself to both, as I've just started a new job with no set work pattern, so it will be handy to have a separate work one to keep track of when I've worked.

As many as you are happy to have, Fiona. :D

I just have calendars for their subject interest and colourfulness as we keep appointments and anything else we need to remember on the Outlook calendar on the PC and automatically get the reminders. It's only occasionally we write anything on them.

I might just buy them both for the artwork  I just find I have a lot to write on - I work different hours each week of a 4 week pattern, Ewan has a changing early finish every week, there's nursery inservice days and term dates as well as who is looking after Brodie each day that I'm working, plus the odd appointment or trip.

Thanks Pete.

Not that I really need an excuse to buy both calendars, as others have said, it's just nice to have the artwork.

In recent years I've had calendars which feature vintage travel posters - so even with all the restrictions over the past year, I hardly noticed the lack of social engagements as I was happy just to admire the pictures. :)

I'd like to buy both Katharine, but my wife might complain - I have two classic car calendars on the go at the moment, so I don't want to push my luck.

However if the calendars featured horses I'm sure she wouldn't mind how many I bought!
