Re: Ebay Rip Off Merchant!
I don't know if this would be classed as a rip off, but I didn't know where else to post it.
A seller on E-Bay has a Noddy book listed for £1,906.61, plus £1.30 p & p. There's no photo, but it's listed as a 1993 paperback. Apparently it's the story of Noddy and the Goblins - translated into Latin. Sounds interesting.

A grand to read Noddy in Latin, sounds cheap at the price.

Whatever awaits behind closed doors,
Strange noises in the cellar or the sound of creaky floors,
We never let a mystery pass us by,
Just leave a clue and leave the rest to the Famous Five.

But that's the extremely rare January 1997 edition, Julie! Of course it is expensive
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Re: Ebay Rip Off Merchant!
They say they have set the starting price much lower than what they paid. I wonder how much they paid? Certainly the seller cannot be a member of the society if this is true.

She is a current Society member and receives the Journal!! And this is total rubbish:-
"I have set the starting bid at a much lower price than it was bought for."

Well it didn't sell. No bids at all.

Pity they're so expensive. Otherwise I might have considered buying some of them.

Re: Ebay Rip Off Merchant!
Me too. They work out at about £9 each. The problem is that I would need to buy quite a few for my collection and the cost would mount horrendously. However Tony is sold out of most of those issues and so this may be the only chance to get them. Financial dilemna approaching.
