I just love this pic.
It really seems to encapsulate the true Blyton spirit and lifestyle!

Viv, how exciting!!!Viv of Ginger Pop wrote:The owners had been busy on the remaining third of the compound, and had planted willows to make an arbour (house) with a 20ft diameter, and also planted a willow hedge. I made it clear that I wanted to do the house, and with one of the owners we went to check it out. To my great disappointment, having bent over the two tallest saplings, we found that they only just met in the middle. Sadly, I concluded that we needed to give them a couple of years more to grow to size.Viv
I was wondering if you ever realized the willow house made from the trees over the past 5 years? Did the willow trees branches grow enough?

Re: Willow House
Good thought - I ought to go and check it out!
If anyone is coming to Corfe and walks to the village along the stream from the NT car-park, Willow Tunnels have been made at either end of the play trail. They are still small and weedy, but the potential is there,

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
