I have 'reprint' versions of the Racey Helps card game, and also a Peter Pan one, and Grey Rabbit one. They aren't original editions though, just ones reprinted in the last 10 years or so. Still great artwork though. :-) 8)

I haven't got Peter Pan, but I have got four Racey Helps Games, Woodland Snap, Woodland Old Maid, Farmyard Cries and Woodland Happy Families. I might try a scan sometime!

Only have 'Racey Helps Happy Families' so it would be interesting to see the others. :-)

Well, as it is, I do live in a communal setting (though not with anyone in "that" sense  ), but I don't think any of my fellow resident colleagues would be interested in playing Enid Blyton card games!! So I'll just have to admire the cards on my own until the next EBS meet-up. They'll be good for playing Pairs (i.e. Memory or Pelmanism) on my own, at least — minus the penalty cards, which don't have any duplicates.

Love the Alice in Wonderland and Little Grey Rabbit cards, Rob!

Yeah, should have thought of that. :P But it's not quite the same, really, is it?

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Great-looking sets of cards! My sister and I had these Rupert ones when we were little:

I've got the Alice in Wonderland cards, I've had them since I was a little girl. They used to be a staple of our Christmas and (my) birthday games, my mum would hide them all round the house and we would all go round trying to collect the sets. She hid them face down so even she didn't know which cards were where, so she could join in too.

Hooray, my cards have arrived! :D They are in amazingly good condition — must have hardly been used originally (or else belonged to incredibly careful children, which is less likely). Even the box, while a bit battered and delicate, is in better nick than I expected from the photos. All the cards are there and so are the instructions. The only thing missing is the letter from Enid, but I can live without that — or else print off a facsimile from the Cave!

I did get a very nice hand-written note from the seller (Subba's Collectables UK) on the print-out with their contact details:

I sincerely hope you enjoy them, they are a Beautiful set, and Rare, so take care of them. Best Regards. (illegible signature!)

If only my parents were still here in the UK (they were visiting for several weeks in September and October), I could have taken these along and had a few games with them — all of us in the family have always loved classic games and Enid Blyton! But I'll definitely bring the cards along to any upcoming Society meet-ups, if anyone else would like to play. :D
