I think I only made one comment on this thread!!
I'm amazed, however, that most people commenting seem to have momentarily lost their sense of humour. Do people realise that most comments about the genius of Enid Blyton's ability to see into the future are all tongue in cheek and most definitely not to be taken seriously?!

And it was nine years ago, Rob. I wonder what prompted Moonraker's comment after all this time.Rob Houghton wrote:I think I only made one comment on this thread!!

Rob, I think Nigel's post was actually meant for me.
I will try to inject more jocularity into my posts!

No one has yet mentioned that Enid actually predicted Donald Trump when she invented the 'Mad King of the Mountain' in The Mountain of Adventure...

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Enid Blyton was a phenomenon-- but I wouldnt sa.y she had foreseen the online groceries of today
In the early 60's the egg man.and baker would come to various homes selling bread.and eggs-- so would the milkman . And.they.were quite.trustworthy-- unlike Twit
