Crossovers?

Post by pbsausie »

Which TV show or movie would you crossover with Blyton characters?

There's a Doctor Who/Famous Five crossover floating around where they battle the Master together

I thought the story where the Doctor met Agatha Christie was very well done. I loved the hints and clues at Agatha's book titles too! It would be great if he could meet Enid, maybe even some of the characters could come to life, too! Maybe if Gary has any contacts with the production team, he could suggest it? :D

Yes, that was a very good episode with the Doctor meeting Agatha Christie. Fabulous idea, Nigel, if he could meet Enid :D

Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.
"See that? It's the black Bentley again. KMF 102!"

What a nightmare - giant robotic Noddy figures attacking earth!! It would be even scarier than the Darlecks!

It wouldnt be too far from the truth when you think of it: Noddy is sort of taking over the world!

hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes

Viv's museum centre would be the HQ of the Noddy Takeover-the-World organisation, and the Doctor would have to enlist the help of our Tony to archive the vaults and cave of the Society to conquer them!

Sorry, Viv; I'm not making you a villain, they have just taken over your Poole HQ!

I'd like Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Five Find-Outers crossover. If we could age the FFO up a bit. I could see Pip dating a demon, and Jenks and Giles would find common ground somewhere. With Goon as a new rogue demon hunter a la Wesley Wyndham-Price.
Gwendoline lay down, angry. She determined to make herself miserable and cry.

It's "Five Have a Time-Travelling Adventure" - it was posted on alt.drwho.creative a long time ago - here it is:
FIVE HAVE A TIME-TRAVELLING ADVENTURE

(c) 24/2/1997 Susannah Tiller

Chapter One - A Ferry Ride
"Hoorah!" Dick said. "Hoorah for the hols."
"Do you think we shall have an adventure?" George asked.
"I do hope we have a peaceful hols," Anne said.
"I say, watch Timmy," Julian said. "He's about to fall off the
ferry!" Julian was the oldest. He was twelve, and very grown up. So
George put a hand on Timmy's collar. "Silly Timmy," she said. "Just wait
until we get to Blyton Island, and you shall run around as much as you
like."
"It's jolly decent of Uncle Quentin and Aunt Fanny's friends to let
us stay with them, isn't it," Dick said. He was answered by a chorus of
"Rather!"
It really was a lovely trip along the river. They saw little
rabbits, running along beside the ferry, and once they even saw some
wild horses.

The ferry pulled in at a little jetty, and the children got off.
"Goodbye," they said, waving to the master of the ferry. "We'll be
coming back on Wednesday."
A girl was waiting on the jetty for them. "Hullo," she said. "I'm
Meg. And you must be the Famous Five. Mummy and Daddy asked me to fetch
you. The pony trap is not far."
They picked up their luggage and followed Meg. She led them to a
little cart, and the boys helped Anne and George up. George scowled. She
didn't like to be treated as a girl. Timmy didn't want to go in the
cart. I can carry myself, he seemed to say.
Meg shook the reins, and they were off. Timmy ran along beside the
cart, making sure he kept out of the way of the horse.
"What a lovely horse," Anne said. Meg smiled. "Her name's Hannah.
Can you ride?"
"Rather," Julian answered. "Will we be able to ride while we are
here?"
Meg nodded. "Anne can ride Blossom, George can have Sylvester, you
can ride Moxie, and Dick can ride Twiggy."
"That all sounds splendid," Dick said.
"You mustn't go near Banshee House, though," Meg said. "It's evil."
Anne shivered. She didn't like the sound of an evil house.
"I say," Dick said. "What do you mean, it's an evil house?"
Meg shook her head. "You just stay away from Banshee House," she
said. "It's a no good place. Bad things happen."
"Does anyone live there?" George asked.
Meg nodded. "They say a man lives there, but I haven't seen him. At
night, wicked creatures roam the woods. And when the wind blows through
the trees it howls like a banshee."
"Do stop," Julian said. "You're scaring the girls." George felt
cross. She wasn't scared. She wasn't scared of anything! Anne was
afraid. She didn't want to go near a bad house. Dick made up his mind
that he would go and have a look at Banshee House. Julian felt the same
way as Dick. And Timmy seemedto be saying, I hope there are rabbits for
me to catch!

Chapter 2 - Dinner
By the time they got to Aldridge Cottage, the children were hungry
and tired. The little cottage was set into the side of a hill, with
lovely views of the river. Meg showed the children to their rooms.
"There's Gallows Hill. And that's Banshee House," she said, pointing
out the window of the boys' room. Far away and up on a hill wasa big,
gloomy old house, surrounded by pine trees. There was a strange howling
noise. "What's that?" Anne said, quite frightened.
"That's the wind blowing in the trees near Banshee House," Meg said.
Anne shivered. "It's horrid," she said. It really was a ghastly
sound.
"Never mind about that, old thing," Dick said. "Let's have
dinner. I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse."
They washed up quickly, and went down to the dining room. Mrs
Aldridge was waiting, and what a feast she had prepared for them. There
seemed to be enough for twenty children!
"I say, look at this," Dick gasped. "Three kinds of meat, tomatoes,
lettuce, ham, and lashings of ginger beer. Mrs Aldridge is a good sort!"
Timmy had just discovered a new, fresh bone waiting for him under
the table. He thought Mrs Aldridge was a good sort, too!
The children thought they would never get through the wonderful
meal, but when they'd finished, there wasn't a scrap of food left! Even
Timmy couldn't finish his bone.
"I'm so full, I shan't be able to sleep tonight," Dick declared.
Everyone else agreed, but a minute after they went to bed, none of the
children were awake! Even Timmy was fast asleep, curled up at the foot
of George's bed.

Chapter 3 - In the Middle of the Night
Julian woke up in the middle of the night. Dick was still fast
asleep, so he went to the window and looked out. He could hear the soft
swish-swish of the river. And there was another noise, too. One that he
would not have expected to hear. It was the whirr-rr-rr of machinery of
some kind.
Then something caught his eye. Up near Banshee Cottage, something
was moving. He fetched his field glasses and looked. He saw a creature
that looked like a man, but was covered in fur. As he watched, he saw
more of them. He wondered what they could be.
"Gosh," Julian said to himself. "This is very strange."
He padded over to Dick's bed and shook him awake.
"I say, Dick, there's something queer going on."
Dick sat up in bed. "Where?" He got out of bed and walked over to
the window. Julian pointed up at Banshee Cottage. The figures were still
moving around.
"That's rather queer," Dick said. "What are those big furry things?
They look like chimpanzees. Perhaps they've escaped from a circus."
"Use your head, old thing," Julian said. "They're too big to be
chimps." He passed the glasses to Dick.
"What could they be, then?" Dick asked.
"I don't know," Julian said. As they watched, the things headed
down towards the river. "I think we should take a closer look at Banshee
Cottage tomorrow," Julian said, as they got back into bed.
"Seconded," Dick said. "Gosh, it looks like we shall have an
adventure after all! I say, listen. Is that a motor boat? At this
hour?"
Julian listened. They both heard the brrr-rrr-rr of an engine.
"It is," he said. "It's all very strange, isn't it?"
The boys lay down, and were soon fast asleep, dreaming ofadventures!

Chapter 4 - Banshee Cottage
In the morning, the children had a conference in the girls' room.
Even Timmy was there, listening intently. When George heard what the
boys had seen, she was furious. "You should have woken me," she said. "I
want to be part of this adventure."
"Steady, old thing," Dick said, giving her a friendly punch. "We
could never have an adventure without our George."
George was glowering still, so Julian interrupted. "I say we take
the horses and ride up to Banshee Cottage," he said. "Then we can see if
there's anything queer going on."
"I'm sure Mrs Aldridge will give us a picnic lunch," Dick said."Then
we can be out all day."
"Should we ask Meg, do you think?" Anne said.
George nodded. "She knows this countryside better than any of us."
When they asked Meg, she looked scared. "I told you it was a
dangerous place," she said. "I'll come part of the way with you, but no
more."
When they told Mrs Aldridge that they wanted to go and explore for
the day, she soon produced an enormous hamper for them.
"Gosh," said Dick, as he felt the weight of it. "You are a brick."
Mrs Aldridge smiled. "None of your cheek, now," she said.
The children soon saddled up their horses. "Now for Banshee
Cottage!" Julian said.
"Hurrah for the adventure," George said. Timmy barked.
"He's saying he's looking forward to some rabbits," Dick said, and
everyone laughed.
It was a lovely ride in the morning sun. There were lots of rabbits
running around, and once Anne saw a robin red-breast. Timmy chased all
the rabbits madly, but they were too clever for him.
Soon they reached the foot of Gallows Hill.
"We'll go the rest of the way on foot," Julian decided. "That way,
no one will be able to hear us coming."
"I'll stay here and mind the horses," Meg said. She didn't want to
go up to the big house. Neither did Anne. "I'll stay here, too," she
said.
"Righto," Dick said. "You can mind the hamper. Just mind you don't
eat it all!"
"We're not as piggy as you are," Anne said playfully. She could
always tell when she was being teased, unlike George.
"And now for Banshee Cottage," Julian said. He, Dick, George and
Timmy made their way through the undergrowth and up the hill. Their
rubber soled shoes meant that they moved quietly. Even Timmy was on his
best behaviour, moving carefully so as not to make a sound.
Julian stopped suddenly.
"What is it?" asked Dick.
"I saw something glinting underneath that tree," Julian said. He
pointed to an old oak tree, and they watched. Sure enough, the sun was
glinting off something that was half-buried in the leaves at the base of
the tree. He moved forward, and knelt down.
"I say," he said. "It's half a crown!"
He carried it over to the others, and they inspected it.
"How frightfully careless of someone to lose money like that,"
George said.
Dick gave a low whistle. "I say, Ju, look at the head. And the
date."
Julian peered at it. "It says, Queen Camilla, 1999," he read. "It's
obviously a fake. But why make up a date and name like that?"
"Whatever could it mean?" Dick wondered.
George gave a squeal. "I know," she said. "The machinery you heard.
Could it have been a printing press?"
"Clever girl!" Julian said. "Yes, you're right. And the motor-boat
we heard must have been taking the money to the mainland. I think we're
on the trail of a counterfeiter."
"You're very clever," a voice near them said. "Too clever."
They looked up in alarm. A man dressed in black was standing in
front of them. He had a pointed beard. Behind him stood half a dozen of
the ape creatures.
In a trice, the creatures formed a ring around the children.
"Let us go, or we'll fetch the police," Julian said. The man
laughed. Timmy growled, and threw himself at the man. Strangely, before
he reached the man, he gave a yelp, and fell to one side.
"You brute, you've hurt Timmy," George shrieked. She threw herself
at the man. But something was in the way. It was like an invisible wall
- how very odd!
"You won't get away with this," Dick said, intensely angry about
all this. "The others will -" He bit his tongue, but it was too late.
The man smiled. It was an evil smile. "So there are others?" He looked
at one of the ape creatures. "Take these to the house. And look for
anyothers."
Half of the creatures ran off down the hill. The other three grabbed
Julian, Dick, and George, pinning their arms behind their back. They
marched them up towards Banshee Cottage. Whimpering, Timmy followed
behind.
"You won't get away with this," Julian said in his best grown-up
manner. The man laughed again. "Oh yes I will," he said. "Because I am
the Master and soon everyone shall obey me!"

Chapter 5 - What Happened to Anne and Meg
Anne and Meg had been waiting for a long time.
"I do hope nothing has happened," Anne said, worriedly.
"I say, do you hear footsteps?" Meg said. Anne listened. Yes,
someone was coming down the hill, quite fast.
"It doesn't sound like Julian, Dick, George and Timmy," Anne said.
"Let's just hide and see who it is." The girls scrambled into a thicket,
for the footsteps were now very near. As they huddled there, three ofthe
ape creatures emerged from the woods. They looked around, and saw the
horses.
"Master say take others," one of the ape creatures grunted. Anne
and Meg looked at each other. "I do hope they haven't been captured,"
Anne whispered, upset. The ape creatures untied the horses. "Now plenty
prisoners," another one muttered, as they led the horses away.
The girls waited until they had gone, then wriggled out from the
undergrowth. "Oh dear," Anne said. "They have been captured."
Meg was scared. "I told you it was an evil place," she said. "And
that there were evil creatures."
"We must fetch help," Anne said. She was scared. She wished Julian
was there to take control. "Is there a policeman on the island?"
Meg shook her head. "There's Constable Caponecchia on the mainland,
but the next ferry isn't until Wednesday."
"Then we must fetch your parents," Anne decided. "Do let's hurry."
They began to run down the hill as if any second the ape creatures might
come after them. Suddenly, Anne's ankle gave way. She fell to the ground
with a squeal. "I've twisted my ankle," she said pitifully. "Whatever
shall we do now?"
"Hello there," said a voice from nearby. "You look like you could
use some help." The girls turned. Walking up the hill was a man dressed
in a floppy hat, a long coat, and an even longer scarf. He smiled at
them, showing masses of shiny teeth. Anne liked him at once. "Please,"
she said.
"There's a man, and some horrible creatures, and they've got my brothers
and my cousin."
The little girl burst into tears. The man knelt down beside
her. "Would you like a jelly baby?" he said, producing a paper bag from
his pocket. "It won't solve all your problems, but it might change the
way you look at things."
Anne gratefully took a sweet, and sucked on it until the colour
returned to her cheeks. She told him the story of what had happened. The
man's eyes grew wide. "Dear me," he said. "This is serious. We shall
have to do something."
"Are you a policeman?" Meg asked.
The man grinned. "Of sorts," he said. "I'm known as the Doctor.
Now, shall we find your friends?" He helped Anne to stand up, and she
clutched at his arm. She hobbled down the hill towards a police-box that
was sitting on the hillside.
"I say," Meg said. "I never knew that was there."
The Doctor smiled, and opened the door. "It's amazing how we don't
notice things, isn't it," he whispered. He ushered them inside.

Chapter 6 - The Secret of Banshee Cottage
The ape creatures dragged George, Dick and Julian through the house,
and into an attic. They tumbled them inside, and slammed the door. The
children heard the bolts being thrust home. Timmy was left on the other
side of the door. They heard him whimpering.
"Don't worry, Timmy darling," George said. She looked at the others.
"What are we going to do?" She was scared, but was determined not to
show it. She wanted to be as brave as any boy!
"Perhaps Anne and Meg will fetch help," Dick said doubtfully. Julian
was examining the attic. In one corner he found a chest. "I say, look at
this," he said. He opened the chest. Inside was a pile of books. Some of
them were very old, and smelled musty. Others were quite new. Julian
picked up a book and blew the dust off it.
"I say, it's a Post Office Account book," he said. "Look." The
others gathered round. He showed them. "It's in the name of Professor
Thascalos, and he's been putting money in for over a hundred years."
"Here's another," Dick said. "The Reverend Magister has been saving
money with Devil's End Bank for fifty years."
"Gosh," said George. "Look at this. This one's in the name of
Professor Padrone, and it says he opened an account with the
Erskineville branch of the Commonwealth Bank on May 4th, 1971."
"How can that be?" Dick said. "That's in the future."
"I say!" Julian exclaimed. The others looked at him. "What is it?"
George asked.
"All those names mean `Master'," Julian said. "And that's what the
beastly chap called himself. He must be putting the forged money into
banks, andmaking a fortune."
"Ju, you're a genius," George said. "But how could he have opened
that account a hundred years ago, or in the future?"
Julian frowned. "I don't know," he said. He looked around. "I say,
do you hear a noise?"
The others glanced around. Yes, they heard it, too. It was a sort
of wheezing and groaning, like an old bellows full of angry wind.
George shrieked, and pointed to the corner of the room. Something
was appearing out of thin air. It looked like a police box. How very
queer! It became solid, and Anne and Meg stepped out.
"Dick! Julian! George!"
"Anne! Meg! However did you get here?"
"This man brought us here," said Anne, indicating the Doctor. "He's
called the Doctor, and he's a policeman."
"Jolly good," Dick said. "We've found a forger, and a kidnapper and
a downright rotter."
They showed the Doctor the books and the half-crown they had found.
His eyes grew wider and wider. "So this is how he gets his money," he
said when they had finished. "You've done well, children. This man is a
dangerous criminal. I've been searching for him for a long time." He
looked solemnly at them. "Now we must destroy his counterfeiting
machine, and arrest him," he said.
"But we're locked in," Dick said.
The Doctor smiled a peculiar smile, and reached into his coat
pocket. He pulled out a long, thin instrument. He applied it to the
door, and suddenly the hinges came off.
Julian was astounded. "I say, is that a skeleton key?" he asked.
"More of a screwdriver," the Doctor said. He winked at them and put
the device away. They lifted the door off its hinges, and looked
cautiously Around. Timmy was certainly glad to see them! He frisked
about, licking George's hands and face as if he would never stop.
The Doctor peered into the next room. "Here it is," he said. Inside
the room was a big machine. Around the room were piles of new banknotes
and coins.
"Let's put it out of action," Dick said.
"Not so fast," said a voice from the doorway. The Master was
standing there, holding a small pistol.
"We meet again, Doctor," the Master said.
"Just admiring your machine," the Doctor said. He pulled a yo-yo
out of his pocket, and slipped it on his finger. He began to move the
yo-yo up and down, and in amazing loops. "Very clever scheme," he
said."I suppose you've been operating these bank accounts for years,
using the interest to finance yourgreedy little schemes?" The yo-yo
flashed up and down in his hand. "Seeing my sensors didn't detect
another TARDIS, I suppose yours has broken down."
The Master looked angry. "It's hidden in the cellar. I've been
trying to fix it," he said. "Do you know how primitive the electronics
are in this age?"
The Five didn't understand what the two men were talking about.
Together with Meg, they huddled together behind the machine. George
noticed thatthe Doctor's yo-yo was getting closer and closer to the
machine. Suddenly it went down a hole in the machine, and didn't come
out again. Something went BANG!
"Oh dear," the Doctor said. "I'm rather afraid I've broken your
Mark III Cloning device. Frightfully sorry." He sounded sorry, but Anne
noticed that there was a twinkle in his eye.
"You meddling fool, Doctor," the Master snapped. He stepped forward.
George took her hand off Timmy's collar. Timmy growled, and leapt at the
Master. He knocked the Master over, and snapped at him.
"Get this brute off me," the Master said.
"It's no more than you deserve for being so wicked and horrid,"
Anne said. The others looked at each other. Fancy timid little Anne
saying something like that! She was right, though.
"Stop struggling, there's a good chap," the Doctor said. He touched
the Master on the neck, and suddenly the Master found that he could not
move! He looked up at the Doctor. "Blasted Venusian Aikido," he said
angrily.
The Doctor looked at the Famous Five and Meg. "We'll drop the Master
and the Ogrons off with the nearest intergalactic Police Patrol, and
that will be that!" He helped the Master stand up, pinned his arms
behind him, and marched him back to the wonderful police-box. Julian,
Dick, Anne, George, Meg, and Timmy the dog followed.
"Gosh," said Dick. "It's bigger..."

Chapter 7 - Elsewhere in Banshee Cottage
"...on the inside then on the outside," Dick finished.
"This is a wizard conjuring trick," Julian said admiringly. The
Doctor opened the door, and they all tumbled out. The Ogrons were trying
to force the horses up a set of stairs, and into a room.
"Others bad prisoners," one grunted. The Doctor cleared his throat
politely. "Sorry to disturb you, old chap," he said. "But I've overcome
your leader, so step into the TARDIS, there's good Ogrons."
The ape creatures meekly walked into the TARDIS. Julian thought it
was very clever to be able to control them. Moxie, Twiggy, Blossom,
Sylvester and Hannah trotted in after them.
"I say," said Meg. "Won't they make rather a mess?"
"No matter," the Doctor said. They all followed him back inside.

Chapter 8 - The End of the Adventure
"I say," said Anne. "We're back where we started."
"Look, said Dick. "There's our picnic hamper!"
The Doctor smiled at them. "Thank you for all your help," he said.
"Do stay and have a picnic with us," Anne pleaded.
"Rather," Dick said. "Mrs Aldridge has given us such a smashing
spread."
"I suppose I can spend a few more moments here," the Doctor smiled.
He sat down on the ground with the children. Anne bustled about getting
things ready. In a few moments, a lavish feast was spread out before
them.
Dick whistled. "Phew, look at all this. There's seven kinds of meat,
sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, pickles, lettuce, Mrs Aldridge's home made
fruit cake, cream buns, ginger beer, orangeade, lemonade and
raspberryade. I don't know where to start!"
"My word, Anne, you are a proper little housewife," Julian said
admiringly. They all tucked into the wonderful meal.
"This has been our strangest adventure yet," said George, munching
on a sticky bun.
"Rather," everyone agreed.
"I think I shall write a book about it," said Dick, who was eating
three sandwiches at once.
"I look forward to reading it," the Doctor said, smiling.
And we look forward to it, too! Good luck Famous Five. Until the
next adventure!

I'm a huge Buffy fan and I collect as much Buffy as I do Blyton but I don't think I could handle those two worlds colliding like that!!

PBS, that's amazing! Thanks so much for posting that - I'd love to see a TV adaptation of that - I could really picture Roger Delgado (sadly missed) and Tom Baker in the star roles.

I'd really like to see Fatty face off against Edmund Blackadder and Baldrick. I doubt Fatty would fare well, particularly against the Regency-era Blackadder who in his series is a multiple thief and murderer.

I must be one of the few that cannot stand Blackadder. As I posted on eb.net just now, I think I'd rather Blyton's characters stayed in their own world. However, the story you posted above, from one of your pseudonyms, made for an interesting read!
