Re: Which Enid Blyton Character are you?
I'm Bets, but it took a couple of goes and much pondering about which animal/bird I was most drawn to and whether I'd really prefer to bring candles or cushions back to my study, to come up with the final answer; first I was a bit of a mystery , then I was a mixture of Bets and Joan/Joanna.

Re: Which Enid Blyton Character are you?
I've just completed the character quiz and got the following result:
You are JOAN/JOANNA, the cook in the Famous Five series. Plain-spoken but welcoming, you are a real homebody. You care about others and do your best to cater for their needs and make them feel comfortable. You also enjoy a good gossip over a cup of tea. People tend to take you for granted, so give yourself a well-earned treat every now and then.

'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

It's great to see that people are still doing the quiz and are coming up with a range of characters.
"Heyho for a starry night and a heathery bed!" - Jack, The Secret Island.
"There is no bond like the bond of having read and liked the same books."
- E. Nesbit, The Wonderful Garden.

Re: Which Enid Blyton Character are you?
Interesting to see who everyone is. I too, have tried the quiz a few times and it has always came with the same answer (Jack Trent)...
You are JACK TRENT of the Adventure series. Brave, independent and a bit of a dreamer, you hunger for adventure and love a challenge. You don't mind roughing it and would be happy to go travelling in remote regions, enjoying nature and wildlife. Follow your heart by all means, but weigh things up carefully before putting yourself — and perhaps others too — in unnecessary danger.

Aha, this was my result:
"At the moment the results are split:
You are JACK TRENT of the Adventure series. Brave, independent and a bit of a dreamer, you hunger for adventure and love a challenge. Follow your heart by all means, but weigh things up carefully before putting yourself — and perhaps others too — in unnecessary danger.

You are QUENTIN KIRRIN of the Famous Five books. You have a reputation for being difficult but you also have high ideals and will fight for what you believe in. Being a workaholic makes you tense and irritable and you throw yourself wholeheartedly into your work to the point where you forget everything else. Since your mind is always preoccupied with your latest project, you tend to be scatter-brained and impractical when it comes to everyday life. The world needs its fair share of thinkers, idealists and eccentrics, but try to take regular time out to spend with family and friends — you'll feel calmer and return to work refreshed."
(answers: Egg sandwiches, The Land of Myths and Monsters, Working, A swimming-pool, A ship in a bottle, You say to yourself, "What would Robinson Crusoe have done?", A fox, A lighthouse, Go back to bed. You only got up to open the window, and nothing short of an earthquake will persuade you to sacrifice another minute of your beauty sleep. The Boy Next Door --- Now I am hungry, want Egg sandwiches )

Sorry to have made you hungry, Soenke! Looking at the list of foods in question 1 of the quiz, I can't decide between anchovy toast and treacle pudding!

No problem. Have eaten yesterday a bread roll with egg. Delicious. Today magnum will come again in TV and I will eat again smoked salmon with rolls -- but this time also with egg. Yum yum!Anita Bensoussane wrote:Sorry to have made you hungry, Soenke!

Re: Which Enid Blyton Character are you?
Just wandered onto this thread from a link in someone else's! I've tried the Character Quiz three times in the past few years, and I recall the second time I was "a bit of a mystery" - I tried changing a few different answers and got a different character each time. But the first time, and the most recent (today), I got the same result:
Bets was always one of my favourite characters, so I'm happy with that - whether or not it's an accurate description of me in real life, I'm less certain! (I've never read The Rubadub Mystery, though.)You are BETS HILTON of the Find-Outers series. Bright, observant and curious, you notice little details that others overlook and you love solving mysteries. Your warm, affectionate nature means that you get on well with most people and you are a valuable member of a group as you always have something useful to contribute. Don't allow yourself to be overshadowed by others — you have a lot to offer!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Re: Which Enid Blyton Character are you?
I'm glad you got a clear result in the quiz, Courtenay. The Rubadub Mystery is wonderful but it really needs to be read after Rockingdown, Rilloby Fair and Ring O'Bells.

I agree wholeheartedly with Anita here. This series of books must be read in the right order for Barney's storyline to develop.
