Which Enid Blyton Character are you?

Edit: Here's a link to the Character Quiz:

Thanks Anita and Hannah, for the great quiz!!

My first answer:

Which Enid Blyton Character Are You?

It's a tie! You might want to check your answers again and see if there are any answers you can adjust; the slightest amendment might define you one way or the other. At the moment the results are split:

You are JACK TRENT of the Adventure series. Brave, independent and a bit of a dreamer, you hunger for adventure and love a challenge. You don't mind roughing it and would be happy to go travelling in remote regions, enjoying nature and wildlife. Follow your heart by all means, but weigh things up carefully before putting yourself — and perhaps others too — in unnecessary danger.

You are BRER RABBIT. Mischievous and incorrigible, you really can be a bit of a rascal! You are intelligent, immense fun and a loyal friend, but woe betide anyone who becomes your enemy! Your fondness for tricks and jokes is legendary and you always come out on top. But do take care — you have a tendency to carry a trick or a joke a little too far at times!

Second try:

Congratulations! The results are clear:

You are JACK TRENT of the Adventure series. Brave, independent and a bit of a dreamer, you hunger for adventure and love a challenge. You don't mind roughing it and would be happy to go travelling in remote regions, enjoying nature and wildlife. Follow your heart by all means, but weigh things up carefully before putting yourself — and perhaps others too — in unnecessary danger.

Coo! - I'm happy - I do love Jack's character! I did pretend to be Jack in one of Moose's parties! Say Anita, any results for Kiki available?!

Anita, what are the possible results? It'll be nice to have a poll.

Glad you enjoyed it, Ming. When we tested the quiz a few weeks ago I was Jack Trent, but today I must have been in a less adventurous mood as I came up as a tie between Elizabeth Farrell and Miss Grayling:

It's a tie! You might want to check your answers again and see if there are any answers you can adjust; the slightest amendment might define you one way or the other. At the moment the results are split:

You are ELIZABETH FARRELL from House-at-the-Corner. Imaginative and creative, you love to invent imaginary worlds and probably enjoy reading and writing, or art and craft. Although family life is important to you, you also appreciate having time alone with your thoughts. You are a deep person, keeping many of your thoughts and feelings to yourself, and sometimes people feel that it is difficult to get to know you intimately. Try to have more confidence in yourself and let your pleasant personality show.

You are MISS GRAYLING, Head teacher of Malory Towers. Wise, calm and responsible, you practise what you preach and are "a good, sound person the world can lean on." You are well-read and knowledgeable, and people turn to you for help and advice. But please don't be too sensible — let your hair down once in a while and have some fun!

I was going to check my answers again to see if I could come up as just one character, but unfortunately I did something wrong and lost the page!

I will consider putting up a poll but I'll leave it for a while as it might be more fun if people don't know for now which characters we included. There are twelve different characters, and I'm afraid Kiki isn't one of them!

"Heyho for a starry night and a heathery bed!" - Jack, The Secret Island.

"There is no bond like the bond of having read and liked the same books."

Three! I did say in my post above that there were eleven characters, but I've now edited it to twelve. I got mixed up because Hannah and I included eleven characters at first but then, at the eleventh hour  , we decided to add a twelfth.

Elizabeth Farrell (read the book, but can't remember who she is!)

Trouble is, it is so difficult to choose an answer, as most of them are appealing!

Lizzie doesn't polish her nails. She's a down-to-earth girl who loves to write!

Getting into Jane's dress? What would Chantal think of that?!

I did the quiz again and came out as Miss Grayling.

Good quiz Anita.

First time I did it, I was a bit of a Mystery?? Always fancied being a woman of Mystery and Intrigue!!!

Then I re-did some of the answers and I turned out to be Bets Hilton. Read all the Find outers books, still love them.

Like Nigel, I seem to have had a "sex change":

You are BETS HILTON of the Find-Outers series. Bright, observant and curious, you notice little details that others overlook and you love solving mysteries. Your warm, affectionate nature means that you get on well with most people and you are a valuable member of a group as you always have something useful to contribute. Don't allow yourself to be overshadowed by others — you have a lot to offer!

Apart from the gender, reasonably accurate.

You are QUENTIN KIRRIN of the Famous Five books. You have a reputation for being difficult but you also have high ideals and will fight for what you believe in. Being a workaholic makes you tense and irritable and you throw yourself wholeheartedly into your work to the point where you forget everything else. Since your mind is always preoccupied with your latest project, you tend to be scatter-brained and impractical when it comes to everyday life. The world needs its fair share of thinkers, idealists and eccentrics, but try to take regular time out to spend with family and friends — you'll feel calmer and return to work refreshed.

I was a mixture of Jack Trent and Bets Hilton too! Rather than investigate flashing lights, I decided to decipher them; and rather than a sea of uninhabited islands I chose a meandering river. This showed the "thoughtful" side of me -- the Bets Hilton side!

I marvel at how well you put this together, Anita. I imagine you and Hannah had a huge complex Chart of Characters drawn on a glass wall (as in crime shows) filled with mathematical equations, flowcharts and time lines. :D

We're recording all the entries in the database so later on we can tell you how many of each character there are. We'll find out just what kind of people frequent these forums. But I agree with Anita, that we should keep the character list quiet for now. In a future incarnation of the quiz it might be a good idea to have a male/female counterpart for each character, and allow the user to choose whether they're male or female and thus have the right gender assigned to them at the end!
