That's very interesting that the cover of Noddy and Big Ears are different. How can that be, Tony? Does it mean that the Dossier showned there is a forgery? So I wonder what the inside would look like. Has it been reprinted. It's all very confusing. It's almost like Rosson stealing my stories!!!!

It's okay, Julie - the publishers chose the cover image shown in the catalogue, but Tony and Brian changed it to a Beek Noddy illustration at the last minute.

I don't think the image chosen by the publishers was ever used on the actual book, though the picture of that cover had appeared in the catalogue.

And on Amazon as that was also down to the publisher! The date given to Amazon was October 1998, but it was touch and go as to whether I would get the books from the wholesaler in time for the 1999 Enid Blyton Day. The book has a very chequered history!!

I have a signed copy of the Enid Blyton Dossier. :D I absolutely love looking at the illustrations, and am thinking that when I have more time, I'll paint of the pictures on an empty wall - I think Anita's avatar would make a nice, friendly one!

I seem to remember you saying before that you might do that one of these days. It would look super, :D though you'd have to stock up on several different colours of paint as well as various-sized brushes.

The Dossier really is a feast for the eyes and is packed with information about all things Blyton. I took my avatar picture from the Dossier without ever having read the story (Oh! What a Lovely Time) in which the illustration appeared - I just liked the look of it.

I always see Anita as her avatar, and so painted her a birthday card of that very picture. :)
