Character of month for September

Post by Adventure »

I thought I'd start this month's votes. I'll vote later.

I hope people more will vote this month.

Hmmm *muses*

How bout Julian from Whyteleafe? Haven't read the books for a while but I liked him, even though he treated Elizabeth badly for a time. He was clever and interesting and thoughftul .. I'd like to know what happened to him.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.

I'm being slightly obscure here because not everyone will have read the book but I'm going for Mollie (or is it Molly?) from The Family at Red Roofs. Yes, she was a bit too perfect but she was a "good sort" and willing to give up her dreams for her family - as was her brother Peter so I might save him for next month!

I'll vote for Molly too. "The Family at Red-Roofs" is a super book, I love the character of Jenny Wren (I might vote for her sometime).

I'm going to put a vote forward for Kit, from The Boy Next Door.

I think Molly is a perfect character. She has been potrayed as loyal, kind and a hardworking girl and an exceptionally responsible sister.

I was going to throw in a vote for Julian but re-considered for Molly. 8)

I'm also going to vote for Kit from The Boy Next Door. He's from one of my favourite books and he's ingenious. I just love his idea to place a note inside the cracked ball.

Would it be unfair if I backed Kit TBND too? Scrap my vote if it isn't fair, because I must confess I've never read it - I only bought it today, a scruffy reprint at a car boot for 20p! However, if he were character of the month it would give me an incentive to read the book, and avoid doing some work!
