Enid's Space

Post by Moonraker »

In the ever-expanding vaults of MySpace, this has appeared:

http://www.myspace.com/enidblytonpage

Wonder why (if indeed he hasn't) he hasn't made himself known to us here?

Come clean Moonraker - are you moonlighting?!

I liked the biog but those aren't the kind of friends I expected EB to have!!

Nah, nothing to do with me. If I did a MySpace/enidblyton, it would be amazing!

Having said that, unless you were coming from a different angle, it would be almost impossible to improve on this site, Keith's and Heather's.

It's hard to think what sort of different angle you could come at it from :)
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.

I've had time to have a look and it is certainly far better than the other site.

It is good to see some links to Heather's, Keith's and our sites as well. I see that it has quite a few friends already - who knows, we might even attract some more members!

Does anyone know who is behind that site? I just went there and its got a photo slide show featuring loads of shots from the EBS day and the picnic afterwards. Is it someone here who set it up, otherwise how did they get the pics? I got quite a shock seeing myself on screen. Fame at last eh.

It does look like a nicely done site though. I'll look at it in more detail tomorrow.

Surely Nigel and Ming must have had something to do with this?!

Great slide show.

I noticed my left hand on screen - didn't realise it was until it reached my watch - perhaps that will become famous too! (My hand, not my watch!)

I agree that it is nicely done, good to see Enid keeping her writing hand in!!

My only regret is that the pics go through a bit quickly, I would like to be able to stop them and have a better look at who is in the background of some of them.

Yes, that is a pity. I have to keep a very sharp eye on them!

It just seems like the kind of project you two might have got involved with, that's all!

Maybe.

Whoever is behind this has now changed the way the pictures are shown. It now scrolls from right to left. If you place the cursor over the picture, it will stop the scroll, also giving the caption. You can then study the picture at your leisure.

Alternatively, there are controls at the right hand side of the photo screen, where pictures can be stopped, re-started, made to go backwards and even made to go slower or quicker!
