Did anyone else see this? If EB was still alive I'm sure it would have been right up her street. This is taken from yesterday's SUnday Express.
"TV WRITER SEEING NAZI GOLD HIDDEN IN A CAVERN"
'A television writer is this week hoping to locate £10million of looted NAzi treasure that has been hidden at sea.
In an intriguing tale of mystery that he first thought would be worthy of a TV script, Terry Hodgkinson thinks that he is close to finding the so-called "Rommel's gold" in an underground cavern off Corsica.
It is rumoured to have remained undiscovered for more than 60 years.
Mr Hodgkinson, 64, and a locan journalist have spent more than a decade searching for the six containers. They are believed to have been hidden by the German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel in 1943.
The treasure is believed to include gold, silver and diamonds - and even a painting by the 17th-century Dutch master Rembrandt.
Mr Hodgkinson, whose credits include Midsomer Murders, first thought the story of the quest for buried wartime loot would be ideal for TV's antique dealer Lovejoy but realised the tale was perfect for a documentary - and is off to Corsica to begin today.
Mr Hodgkinson has high hopes the burial site will finally give up its secrets.
He said "There have been many attempts to find the treasure. It would be great if we could solve the mystery.'
I reckon this is a case for Phillip, Dinah, Jack and Lucy-Ann.....what do you think? Personally I can't wait to watch the programme!

Sounds jolly interesting.
Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.
